EPISODE SUMMARY:

What is a one-page website

One-page website is a single page website where people can scroll up and down to find the information they are looking for. What I love about this type of websites that they are very clear and focused on just one offer because there is no much space. They require a very concise copy (text) and one call to action, what makes them extremely good at converting.

Start small and grow as your business grows

One of the biggest mistakes, that all the beginner entrepreneurs make, myself included, is that we overcomplicate the things and we want to please too many people because of the fear of niching down or we add offers when the first offer doesn’t sell. So, we end up with many offers. We have 1:1 coaching but also a 1-day intensive and a self-study course to give our clients a choice. But what if they don’t want to have a choice because it requires to think, waste time and make a decision?

Let’s make it simple for them and for us. Decide on one offer that lights you up the most and just promote and sell this one offer. Once you will master the offer, get experience and get to know your target group and build a true fans audience, think about a new offer that will address other needs and wants of you clients.

How a one-page website works

One-page website focuses on one offer and one call to action, it’s very clear and easy to read and understand, it loads quickly and doesn’t waste visitors’ time and attention. That’s why it converts so well comparing to traditional tabs websites.

One-page website benefits

  1.  It’s highly converting

When you have only one offer on your website and one call to action, you have much bigger chance to convert your website visitors into paying clients because all people who are landing on your website are exposed just to this one offer. They have just 2 options, accept it or reject it. It’s a simple decision yes or no in that moment.

If there are more options, they start to get distracted, they need to think, read through the offers, compare them to find out which one will suit them the most, so they postpone their decision and probably they talk themselves out completely.

To give you an example. Just imagine a bucket of water (your website traffic) that has only one hole. All water that is in the bucket goes into your one offer – so there is a big chance that someone will buy your offer. If, there are three holes in the bucket, the water will split into 3 streams that are much weaker and don’t have the same impact so less people will buy any of your offers. By having a few offers on your website, you distract people and dilute their attention what leads to lower conversion rate.

  2. Creates a great first impression for your business

One-page website loads super-fast and are easy to read and understand what create a great first impression for your business.

  3.  Attracts Organic Traffic

One-Page website is very quick to load and is user friendly so despite the small amount of text will still attract an organic traffic from Google search so more clients for you.

  4.  Can grow when your business grows

One-page website is much better than a random landing page, because it can grow with you. You can always add extra pages and functionalities in the future without messing the organic traffic that you’ve built already.

  5.  It is more affordable than a traditional website

One-page website is much more affordable than a traditional website, because it’s just a single page and it takes quicker for a professional web designer to design and update it.

  6.  Can be design in ONE day!
